Rental Relief

After putting it off for four months, I finally rented out my parent's apartment. I was hoping to find a friend of a friend or at least someone that someone else knew but I ended up having to put it on Craigslist and crossing my fingers. I got quite a few inquiries (most of which I ignored based on the email alone) but finally found a cute couple that fell in love with it as soon as they walked in. Joey and Jeff (Joey is a girl) are a young couple expecting a baby in 5 months. Jeff is a military boy starting college in the fall and working two jobs. Joey stays home right now getting ready for baby and training their boxer puppy. Wish me luck with my first tenants!!

Is it Spring yet?

Oh, it looks so beautiful, doesn't it? Yeah, right. What was supposed to be a 6-9" storm turned into a foot one day and an additional 4-5" the next. LOVE it. Not.

Nothing like a new set of jammies!

Land's End was having a killer sale so we go these super soft new jammies. Hard to see how cute they are but they have a snowboarder on the front of the top. The boys put them on and couldn't stop rubbing the arms on their faces. "Ooooh, they're so soft, mom!" And without being prompted, they both thanked me for them.
What do you know? Some days I actually DO get something right in their eyes.... :-)

I saw a family blog on a friend's FB page and thought to myself, "what a great idea for my parents who now live FAR, FAR away". So, let's see how it goes, shall we?
